History

Keshra High School is situated in a remote area of Ranibandh Block under the district of Bankura. The school was set up as 2-class junior high school in 1962 by a handful of local persons interested in education.They liberally contributed to the development of this institution and even donated land. But it was recognised as such by the Board of Secondary Education w.e.f  01.01.1964 vide memo no-18723/g dt-08.09.1966 with permission for instruction of co-education vide memo no-9799/g dt-08.07.1968

    Now the school has sufficient land, building,staff with more or less all requirement and facilities to impart quality education. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education .has also affiliated our school as a Higher Secondary school in 2012. But its catchment area is very small and that's why its enrollment is very small.
