
Malchara Malbera B.M. High School was set up in the year 1972 by the villagers of Malchara, Malbera, Bhalukadungri and Khamardanga. The villagers contributed the land, money and laboue liberally. The villagers who took main initiative for the establishment of the school were Late Promodranjan Mahata, Shrinibas Mahata, Manindranath Mahata, Chakradhar Mahata, Niradharan Mahata, Bhudeb Chandra Mhata, Shamapada Mahata amd Mangal Chandra Mahata. Purabi Mukherjee, who was a minister of the central Government, helped with heart and soul to set up the school. At first class V and VI were sancioned by the West Bengal Government . After a long gap 18 years class VII and VIII were sanctired in 1992. It remained 4 class Junior High School for twenty years. The present Head master Mr. Subrata Chowdhury tried sincerely to make it a high School. At last the school was upgraded to 10 class school in the year 2012. The first Headmaster of the school was Mr. Gurusadaya Mahata and the first secretary was Late Mr. Manindranath Mahata. The school hostel was started from the year 1986. The School became government sponsored school in 2012. The present Headmaster Mr. Subrata Chowdhury joined in the school in 2007.
