History

Patharmora High School (H.S),a renowned Higher Secondary School situated in the midst of green nature,in a remote area,was set up in the year 1961(1st July),by the noble efforts of Pramod Kishore Chowdhury,1st founder Secretary of school,Nritya Krishna Mukhopadhyay,professionally compounder and the C.A to Dr.BIDHAN  CHANDRA ROY,known as "The Rupokar of Adhunik Bengal".Sashanka Chowdhury,an eminent employee in a Foreign  Company and Mr.Surendranath Ghosh,a devoted Ex. Teacher of B.J.High School,Sonamukhi. Beside,the total premises was glady donated by the Ghosh family(Maheshpur).The total area is near about se 24.42 Acre,in all around the school premises.The Headmaster of the school was Mr.Biswanath Mishra,who is still alive.Mr Prasanta Kumar Chowdhury and Prasantamoy Chowdhury were another two H.M.s of this school.The first appointed teacher was Asoke Kumar Chowdhury.1st July is an observing day like other days,on the occation of which prizes are distributed to 1st three rank holders (V-XII),M.P & H.S.Students regularly participated in Block level & District level Programme and won prizes for school.Now the school is running with 14 class units, good library for students,laboratories for science subjects and a two storied Ashram hostel building and with near about one thousand three hundred students and 32 teaching and non teaching staff now.
