SALTORA DR B.C.VIDYAPITH ,one of the prestigious institution of Saltora Block in Bankura District, was situated in the heart of Saltora on 10th January 1962 by the hard and determined initiative of a few stalwart educationists who realised the real need for education among the mostly middle class community of Saltora. The school was named after with a  simultaneous event of becoming MLA Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy who also  took the urge in reality. Gradual rendition of higher class recommendation from the  Education Department raised its position and popularity in the District.
