History

Since pre Independence (1946) Barkona Primary School,  (Vill+PO: Barkona, Block : Saltora , Sub-div: Bankura Sadar,Dist: Bankura ,Pin: 722133) started its journey . In the year 2020 the school has become a full fledged institution.Gradually the school building has been developed to two storeyed building with 3 class rooms with financial grants sanctioned by our state Govt.  Every one will be charmed with the scenic beauty of the school . Neat and clean surroundings of the school is mainted by both teachers and students . The roll strength of the school as per 2020 is 155 . Our Co-ed Primary School is glorious in a village area because among 155 students 75 are boys and 80 are girls. The school is electrified with fan and lights in every class room . The guardians ,local people, teaching staff are all co-operative and helpful for the on going success and progress school.
