History

Since pre Independence (1945) Gogra S.C. High School (H.S.), (Vill+PO: Gogra, Block : Saltora , Sub-div: Bankura,Dist: Bankura ,Pin: 722137) started its journey . In the year 2020 the school has become a full fledged institution.Gradually the school building has been developed to two storeyed building with 19 class rooms with financial grants Sanctioned by our state Govt.  Our school has been upgraded to H.S. in the year 2013 . Now the school is oriented with ICT computer lab, CAL, KYAN model class room , library ,play ground , tap water facility with submersible pump,Cycle stand and a permanent stage for cultural activities . Our school is also oriented with two kitchen , one big dining hall and store room for MDM for the students from V to VIII . Every one will be charmed with the scenic beauty of the school . The school is proud of its nice garden with varieties of trees . Neat and clean surroundings of the school is mainted by both teachers and students . The roll strength of the school as per 2020 is 853 . Our Co-ed School is glorious in a village area because among 853 students 373 are boys and 480 are girls. It is clearly proved that because of Kanyashree project introduced by our honourable  chief minister this development of girls has become possible . Kanyashree,sikhasree,free books distribution,school uniforms are all great inspiration to the students go ahead . This development has become possible by our CM`s great projects. The school is electrified with fan and lights in every class room . The guardians ,local people, teaching and non-teaching staff are all co-operative and helpful for the on going success and progress school.
