HISTORY

The inspiration for Chhatinbaid Jr. High School came in 2007 when a small group of parents and Local leaders of Chhatinbaid , Kashihir and Maldihi envisioned a local High school based on  education of their children  .At that time many guardian watched their children go  to TiluriKripamoyee High School (HS) which is more than 3.5 K.M. away from the villages after completing their  primary education. An impulse existed to create an Upper School at Chhatinbaid by Local leaders - Mr. Mojibur Rahaman , Mr. Sudir Kora , Mr. Lalmohan Choudhury, MrRaghunahSonapauri and some guardians  of Chhatinbaid and Maldihi . Some villagers of Chhatinbaid donated land to establish the school .Then some important and useful steps were taken by B.D.O of Saltora ,Bankura and S.I. Of schools of Saltora (West) circle Mr. Anjan Kr. Mondal toset up the  upper primary school (V to VIII).

Finally,the emotion of the Guardians of the childern of Chhatinbaid and Maldihi came true for approval of a new set up School at Chhatinbaid on  dated 04/04/2008 . The name of School is Chhatinbaid Jr. High School  as per recognization  Memo Number S/Recog/2008/1144 vide 04/04/2008 . An Adhoc committee was formed in favor of the school and Mr Anjan Kr. Mondal was Secretary ,Lalmohan Choudhury was president and other two members are Joint BDO of Saltora and Mr. RaghunathSonapauri. 

Two guest teachers, Mr. Paran Chandra Gope and Mr. SisirKabi were appointed through D.I. of Schools(SE), Bankura . Then admission and classes got started in May in Chhatinbaid Primary School because of Chhatinbaid Jr. High School had no building block of its own back then. Then construction work of Chhatinbaid Jr. High School began tobuild.At that time the school had no TLM at itsdisposal. This school is located excellent natural environment.

In the year of 2009 , The WestBengalSchool Service Commission (western Region) appointed two  teachers Debi Prasad Das , Sukanta Halder and in the Year of 2010  commission appointedSagar Mukherjee Rajib Kundu and Tapan Chandra Mudi and also appointed one non teaching staff ParthaMaji in the year 2012. The school continued to expand building blocks like Midday Meal Room , ACR , Toilets . School developed day by day with Books ,TLM, Furniture and innovation and Numbers swelled and confidence quickly grew in the Upper School and its strong team of teachers .But this did not quite complete vision for the school. we work to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.The school population is currently steady with 59 students in 2020.
