“Tamaso ma jyothir gamaya” ‘Lead us from darkness to light’ Bhutsahar Girls’ High School, H.S was started in its present form on the 1st day of April 1959 at the request of the local influential population and tireless efforts, hard work and strong determination of the pioneers who insisted on the necessity of having a good girls’ school in this locality. Years back a Bengali Medium Girls’ school made its humble beginning with just three teachers and three students. It took shape slowly, surely and successfully due to the sweat, patience, perseverance, love and labour of students, teaching and non-teaching staff, administration and the enthusiastic villagers of Bhutsahar, Benchya, Kusbankra, Arrah, Kulatha, Chakrasole, Digpar, Kuchakone, Mandalgram, Dhadkidanga, Untisole and seuli. There was hardly any Girls’ school in the surrounding areas of Bhutsahar. The sapling planted in 1989has taken the form of a gigantic tree getting the recognition of Madhyamik School in 2005 and Higher Secondary School in in 2013 Our school is managed by the School Education Department of Govt. of West Bengal. The School is open to all irrespective of religious, linguistic, cultural and social affiliation. Bhutsahar Girls’ High School H.S offers everything a parent would expect from a good school. It is truly “Education beyond expectation” i.e “Lead us from Darkness to light.”
