History

The School was established in the year 1970. It was founded by the single effort of Mahanta Narayandas Giri Maharaj,who was a 'SADHU' in an Ashram  here named Byomsankar Ashram.  Initially Narayan Giri  i.e. our beloved SADHUBABA started an Ashram with 4 inmates who are none other than orphans. He fed them by mendicancy. Afterwards, he decided to provide them education along with their food & clothe.  All these he had done  by nothing but begging. Gradually , he approached the S.I of Schools, Sonamukhi Circle and Lt. Narayangopal Chatterjee, a political leader, for sanctioning it as a school.  At first, the School started its journey upto class VI in 1970.The first session took place from Ist January,1970. Afterwards it was upgrated upto class VIII and finally the School gets the recognition for the study of class X in 2000.The School came in under grant-in-aid from 01.01.1979. The School runs at present smoothly and is dominated by SC/ST learners who are again mostly first generation learners, along with other General caste learners.
