He was a humble quack doctor of Khaira village , a doctor of the poor and deprived , who treated even without fees . A man with a golden heart who spent all his life serving the poor and needy. He was also a football player.

He provided his land, all his wealth for the construction of the school building even his wife Champa rani Ghatak gave all her valuable ornaments for the purpose of the school.
