                WELCOME TO AMTA PITAMBAR HIGH SCHOOL

The utterance of Amta Pitambar High school reminds us of The Great Seopy Mutiny as it was established in 1857. The visionary zeal of Pitambar Chakraborty played the key role in foundation of this institution. In its long journey of 163 years, it has turned up with a large building, lavish green playground, terrace, pond etc on  17 bigha of land.

Over 1600 students at present with surging graph with highly qualified and dedicated faculty. In this co-educational institution ( H.S section) there is a healthy emphasis on both curricular and co-curricula programs especially on games and sports. Regular culture programs ( annual function, celebration of different days, quiz, mock parliament etc ) are arranged to bring out the hidden talent of the young buds. It is the first govt aided school in amta 1 block having the vocational courses ( retel, health care) from 9th class onwards. The library with huge stock, the gym with all basic facilities help in all round development of the pupils. 

        The academic performance speaks itself the quality of teaching and discipline. The brilliant result in M.P and H.S certifies the claim. Discipline is given utmost priority and installation of cc tv camera in different parts of the school express the endavour to stop any disciplinary issue. The dedication and sincerity of the teachers , para-teachers, non- teaching staff, and others and the true leadership of the H.M guide this prestigious institution to success. Our students are not only shining in different fields of state and country, but also in abroad.

                The large old building bears the marks of pre- independence period in its materials and structure. The casement , pillers, gutters, dome stand with its multipurpose activities. The institution represents the  educational and cultural heritage of the place with its just demand to be recognised as heritage one.
