History

With 87 years of Academic excellency, Bangalpur U. C. High School(H.S) with over 1400 students and 43 experienced teaching and non-teaching staff, has been a premier academic institute of excellence and repute right from its inception in 1933 in the Howrah District of Indian state West Bengal. A great philanthropist and an ardent lover of education, Ashwini Kumar Mondal’s ideology of taking education to the doorstep to the thousands of people who are deprived of education, gave birth of Middle English School in 1933 and later was named(after his beloved mother Chamatkari Devi) Bangalpur Union Chamatkari High School(H.S) i.e. in short Bangalpur U. C. High School(H.S.). Today our school is running under Govt. West Bengal as government sponsored school. Now it has grown into a full-fledged co-educational Bengali medium Higher Secondary School. Our school offers a 360- degree learning environment to its students with all its infrastructural facilities-spacious and airy classrooms, well equipped Laboratories, Library, Computer class room, Lush football ground, Swimming pool, Gymnasium, Community Hall, CCTV vigilance, safe drinking water project and modern techniques of imparting education. The results of our school in Madhyamik(W.B.B.S.E.) and H.S(W.B.C.H.S.E.) are of high acclaim and applause for the last few years. The alumni of B.U.C.H.S(H.S) are today successfully spreading sweet fragrance of success in their varied individual fields. During the session more than 550 students take their mid-day-meal under the financial support of government in each school days. Our school aims to ensure holistic growth and development of the personality of the students.
