The main step to acquire education, which is an essential part of life, is enrolling ourself in a school. In fact school serves as the first learning place for us. Realizing this very truth Marhum Jahabox Mallik, Marhum Joynal Abedin Mallick, Marhum Khalilur Rahaman, Marhum Rijia Begum established Murgaberia Nazrul Vidyapith in1973 amidst tranquil nature on the bank of the river Damodar and the school remains ever grateful to them for their sagacity, farsightedness and also tireless endeavour to spread the light of education amongst the poorest section of the locality. The school got recognition upto class VIII in 1979. After wards it got recognition for Secondary level and Higher Secondary level in 1996 and 2009 respectively. Gradually the school develops and now it establishes itself as one of the prestigious institutions in the district of Howrah with around 1300 disciplined and obedient students.
