History

           The school was established in the year 1921 by five large hearted and high spirited men. These five philanthropists are Late Panchanan Samui, Late Bipin Behari Ghosh, Late Nalinikanta Sengupta, Late Surendranath Ghosh and Late Bidhubhusan Samanta. Late Samui donated 05 bighas of land and the other donated furniture etc. and money from their own. But, their donations were not enough to build up a school. So, they appealed the people of this area and went door to door for begging donations and had been found support from the generous people.

       Since 1921, the succession was maintained by the competent leadership of (Late) Bidhubhusan Samanta (Sec.), Shashibhusan Koley (donor), Pulin Behari Manna (HM), Deboprosad Ghosh (HM) and shanti Prasad Mondal (HM).

     The school was recognized by Calcutta University as X-class High School with effect from 01/01/1924, came under grant-in-aid scheme in the year 1948-49, got H.S. Section from 1963 and H. S.(+2) from 1976. From very beginning, the then authority opened Sc, Arts, and Com. Section in H.S. level.
