Chakur Haris Seminary High School is a reputed school in the area. The school started its journey on January 1, 1966 with only two classes. Since there was no building of the school at that time, the school was run in the facade of the ‘Harish Khan’ family in the local area. Shortly afterwards, the ‘Khan’ family built several houses on a pasture with mud walls and tile roofs. In 1974, the school was approved up to the eighth grade. The 'Khan' family then registered the grazing land in the name of the school. Later, when the school house was destroyed in the floods of 1978, the ‘Khan’ family built five tile houses with brick walls and the school was named after them as "Chakur Harish Seminary".
The school got the approval of Secondary school (Madhyamik) in 2005 and in 2007 100% students from this school passed the first Secondary examination setting a precedent.
At present 11 classrooms have been constructed in collaboration with Sarva Shiksha Mission. The school has now a separate ‘Staff Room’ & a ‘Headmaster’s Room’. There are also adequate toilet facilities in the school. The school also has its own kitchen for cooking mid-day meals. Recently, it has been possible to build a wall around the school building with the help of parliamentary funds.
The school has been going on to impart education to a vast section of the under-privileged society for the last five and half decades, through the unquestioned commitment of teachers and the members of non-teaching staff.
