It availed of the permission to teach both male and female students as a Co-educational. The school came under salary deficit scheme in. The school has become a "Govt. sponsored school" in the Year 2015. The school is running satisfactorily under the management of the present S.M.C. as per opinion of the persons concerned depending on various Govt. aid(s) and grants. Students are satisfied with their studies supported by the study-materials supplied by the Govt. and guardian like teaching by the existing qualified, expert and experienced teachers. There is no dropout event in respect of students. They are very-very satisfied and benefited with the Mid-day meal programme apart from other notable programme like Kanyashree, Shikshashree, Sabuj Sathi etc. maintained for them, as per specified guidelines by the W.B Govt. Now the Govt. of West Bengal is the only patron of the school for its all round development.

In short, the history of the school, as mentioned, is an inspiration to touch the summit, in future.

The school was established at Vill. - Baikhali, P.O.-Dhulasimla, P.S.- Uluberia, Dist.-Howrah in the year 1970. Date of establishment of the school is 1st January 1970. Late Debendranath Dey, a well known gentleman of the locality is the sole founder of the Vidyamandir. His financial solvency was not only the notable factor behind it but also his love of education, affection to the poor children and piousness were also the same important factors besides his patronage. Initially it was recognized in 1971 as a 2 Class Jr. School by the Govt. of West Bengal. Next, it was upgraded to 4 Class Jr. High School in the year of 1974. Later on it became a High school in the year 1984 under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. There after it was favoured to appear as a Higher Secondary School in the year 2010 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
