History

  Jagatpur Adarsha Vidyalaya is one of the reputed govt. sponsored Higher Secondary school. This school is located at the village of Jagatpur, sub-div -Uluberia and in the district of Howrah. 

  It was established in 1947. Late Kalipada Das, a social reformer and educationalist was the founder of the school. The help from the local people escalated the establishment of the school.

Many of the villagers donated their lands. At first the school was started as Junior High School, after that school was upgraded as X class High School from 1.4.1960 & Higher Secondary from 1976.

Sj. Santosh Kumar Das, an educationalist & formar M.L.A. was the frst Head Master of the school. The school is affiliated by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The school has its major objectives to deliver the curriculum with effecting teaching learning methods also important to develop the teaching learning process.
