History

During the middle nineteenth century there was a distinct intellectual awakening of woman empowerment in Bengal society. The luminuous rays of modern knowledge, education and thought process for woman empowerment had affected the contemporary life very materially. That is why Bireswar Balika Vidyalaya was established for the sake of woman education at Udaynarayanpur and for its surrounding areas. The school started her journey first in the year 1960 at the school building of Udaynarayanpur Sarada Charan Institution, our neighbouring school. Then the founder family of the school donated land and in the year 1998, new school building was fabricated and the school shifted to her new building at Udaynarayanpur.  The school was recognized first as a Junior High School in 1964 Vide WBBSE’s Memo No – 24306/G, Dated – 23.12.1964. Then the school was recognized as a Class – XI School in 1966 with effect from 01.01.1966 Vide WBBSE’s Memo No – 8950/G, Dated – 17.06.1966.Then school was recognized as a X Class School in 1973 Vide WBBSE’s Memo No – 1492/G, Dated – 13.02.1973. After that the  school was recognized as Higher Secondary  School  from 2005-2006 in the year 2005 Vide WBCHSE’s Memo No – DA(A)SD/197/Recog./05, Dated – 12.08.2005. Later the school was recognized as a Government Sponsored School in 2013 Vide Memo No - 4739/RMSA/SL/5S - 264/12, Date - 30.09.2013
