History

Samantanagar Ashamalina Balika Vidyalaya  was established by the great visionary and social worker Sri Satish Chandra Samanta in 1957, with the noble purpose of enlightening the tender minds with the power of knowledge, education and self-respect to establish girls with their own identity in the then rural society. The first phase of the school started in 1963, from class V-VIII. The next up gradation till the secondary level took place in the year 2000 and the higher secondary section started in the year 2015.  With a handful of students  since 1963, today this Institution possesses 1100 students and every year, the student perform remarkably in academic, co-curricular and sports activities in the block, district and national levels to carry the torch on .
