History

Simchak Kamala Vidyapith, the pride of the locality, is situated beside    eastern bank of river Damodar at Village Simchak under Udaynarayanpur Block (south circle) in Howrah District. This co-educational school was established in 1975 thanks to the sincere effort of some educationists and education-lovers of the area whose dream was realized with its origin. A mention must be made here of those who came forward for this noble initiative. Sri Subodh Kumar Mondal was one of them who was also the founder secretary and chief patronizer, and Sri Haradhan Sadhukhan donated the land for the school building. Besides many selfless persons of the locality came forward zealously for the nurture and nourishment of the newly-born school. The school would never forget their invaluable contribution. Apart from that many educated local youth, both male and female imparted education for some years i.e., upto 1985 without honorarium. It was in 1986 when the school was approved by WBBSE as a Junior High School (upto Class VI). In 1987 the school was upgraded to Class VIII (vide Memo No.: S/255 Dt.16/02/1987) and in the year 2000 the school was upgraded to Ten class high school (vide Memo No.:Recog/2000/470 Dt.20/07/2000). Later the school was recognised  as a Government Sponsored school from the year 2014. From its origin to till date the school has been trying to impart modern education to the students.
