"Journy of a thousand miles begins with a single step". This single step was decisively taken more than 100 years back. At first the school with a hut of thatch was established on bank of a canel at Chaltakhali village with a visionary zeal to kindle the education in the most remote areas. But unfortunately the dream of creation was shattered when a severe fire engulfed the school putting it to ashes. Then a notable person named Surendranath Patra of Harishpur village donated land at its present site and along with his some other local persons interested in education came forward with their steadfast commitment, enthusiasm, unflinching advocacy and hard work and finally their dream transform into a living creation in the year 1918.
