
When the India came forward vigorously to drive out the British from India and the people responded to the call of Gandhiji in "Quit India Movement" ,1942 , a different history was made in that year at Maju. Late Phani Bhusan Bhanja gave away his property of 19.5 satak and later 19.5 satak [Khatian no. 144,plot no. 424,466 & J.L.No. -33;according to BLRO register recorded] to shift the school by the name ' Maju Mahila Samity Valika Bidyalaya' to enliten the native women.According to folklore , the school was previously set up some where in an 'Aat chala' in the village Madhya Maju and was running till it was shifted to aforesaid campus. Few years later the school got affiliation under West Bengal Board of Primary Education on 01.04.1946 as '' MAJU MAHILA SAMITY PRIMARY SCHOOL" making it one of the oldest school of the area with the facility of co-ed education.
Since then the school spreads it's fame and name by producing numerous successful students who were and are established in different spheres of society. The educational and cultural tradition of the school attract students from neighbouring area also even now.
