History

The school was founded on the auspicious day of 15th August,1966.Some local elites and ex-teachers as well,e.g.,Lt. Mahananda Ghara,Mr. Nemai Guchait,Mr. Nilmoni Samanta,etc., felt an urge to set up an educational institution for the interest of spreading knowledge in an around the locality.Mr. Mahadeb Ghara,a Member of the Founder Category,laid the foundation stone on a piece of land donated unconditionally by Siddheswar Pallimongal Samiti.Thus the journey began with staggering steps.Later,other local elites like Lt. Sanat Kumar Dalui,Lt. Mahadeb Pathak,so on and such on,extended their sincere efforts in cash or kind for the development of the institution.Government grant from time to time in the form of ACR or MP LAD also had a hand behind its efflorescence and fructification.Now,it is a full-fledged,co-educational H.S. institution.Every year the 16th August is observed as School Foundation Day as per the decision of thethen Managing Committee.
