History

Baganda Primary School was founded in 1936 with just 14 students at Baganda in Howrah. At past, the school was running under a big mango tree. Then there was one teacher in this school. At present the original school building consisted of five classrooms, one dinning place and one kitchen room. Now there are six teachers in this school. In 1946, a small school building was added. Enrolments continued to steadily grow, with a total of one hundred and sixty seven students in 2020. Now Pragati Halder is the T.I.C of Baganda Primary School.
