
Shyampur Dwaraka Nath Balika Vidyamandir (H.S.) is situated at Shyampur, P.O.- Shyampur in the district of Howrah. At present the school has three storeyed building accommodating about 650 students from class V to class XII. There are 16 permanent teachers, 2 para-teachers and 1 non-teaching staff. Our school was recognized in 1957. At first it was a shift school. Sri Dhirendranath Mondal was the founder and he founded this school with the help of Sri Gopikrishna Pakhira, Sri Jaykrishna Pakhira, Sir Prafulla Chandra Dalapati, Anadi Charan Manna Etc. Sri Prabodh Chandra Pakhira, Sri Shambhu Charan Pakhira, Sri Gokul Krishna Pakhira, Sri Jaladhar Pakhira donated their land for the establishment of this school. The school was named after Dwaraka Nath Pakhira who was Founder’s teacher and Ex. H.M. of Shyampur High School. At first only class V and class VI were permitted. In 1959 the school was upgraded to class VIII and in 2000 the school was upgraded to class X. In 2012 the school was upgraded to H.S. School. From the first day the school has been enlighting knowledge among the girl students of the locality. It is hoped that in future the school will keep on inflaming the light of knowledge among the girls of the locality.
