History

Our century old prestigious Institution SASATI NAHALA ABINASH HIGH SCHOOL (H.S)
is an exclusive Co-educational Bengali Medium School having class from V to XII
(Streams – Humanities and Science). It is located by the side of Shyampur – Bagnan road.

Our beloved institution flourished as a twig on 1st January, 1900 by a mendicant priest
Late Abinash Chandra Bandyapadhayay at Sasati, Shyampur, Howrah. It started its journey
as an upper primary School in 1900. Then it was upgraded to Secondary in 1979
(Affiliation / Index No. F2-101 under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) and then also
upgraded to Higher Secondary in 2003 (Affiliation No. / Institution Code 106183 under 
West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education).

The purpose of founding institution is to impart education to the children of the then 
remote village irrespective of caste, creed, religion and sex. The institution has produced 
a galaxy of scholars both in pre-Independence and post-Independence period. It has also the 
glorious history of participating in the Freedom Movement of India under the leadership of 
renowned freedom fighter like Sushil Dhara, Bhim Chandra Jana and others. 
Our students are also still serving the Nation from Indian Army to different universities of India.
