History

Gobindapur Netaji Vidyaniketan is situated at Gobindapur under the Shyampur Police Station in Howrah district. It was established in 1970 by some uncompromising minded and kind hearted teachers who surved their 10 years without any salary for the students, mostly from the families of first generation learner. After long 10 years it was sanctioned as four class Jr. High School and those teachers were approved by the W.B.BS.E. 

When the school was started it was situated in the middle of the village , Gobondapur. But later a kind hearted man , Mr. Banamali Samanta donated a land beside the Bangan Shyampur Road at Gobindapur and the school was shifted there in 2000.

The academic record of the Institution is very bright. Success of the students in M.P. exam. is 100% for decades.
