"History of School"

          1st January, 1955, a special day and a sacred day as well for the remote area of Duillya Panchpara of Howrah district.  Because  Duillya Panchpara High school (H. S) initiated it's journey from that particular day. It started only with a co-educational primary section.

        Some local  villagers realised that education is the need of the hour to build up a newly independent country. They came forward and offered according to their individual capacity -- land, money, building materials  and above all selfless service for this noble cause. It helped them to construct a small room which rejoiced with the twittering of the children of the primary section.

        The tireless effort of the villagers continued through  donations, manual labour of the students who even carried building materials to give the school a bigger shape. On 1st January, 1971 it turned to Upper- Primary  status with Govt. recommendation.

        On 3rd April, 1983 our school got elevated to the stage of Secondary School and finally to the level of Higher Secondary on 12th February, 2006. Our H. S section has Arts department only. Our school is co-educational from primary to H. S level. By this time we started receiving financial support from the government. This boost had led to the construction of a three storied building with more class rooms and students as well.

We formed a new library with Govt. aid that contains books relevant for the kids, teenagers and teachers as well.

        Our new building provides all necessary facilities ---- drinking water, clean toilet for students and staff, solar panel on roof- top, theoretical and practical training of computer etc. In addition we have a multigym facility now.

        Most of our students belong to lower middle class family  and some of them are first generation learners. But this economic constraint could not suppress their talent. They can be called  "uncut diamond". They  only need nurturing and proper guidance by the teachers. Our institution has been following this motto since its inception.

At present the number of students has increased to a great extent along with the percentage of successful students both in M.P and H.S exams. In 2020 the percentage of successful students are --97% in M.P and 82% in H.S.

        Our boys and girls have also proved their skill in extra curricular activities and fetched prestigious prizes not only in sports but in cultural programmmes in and outside the school. They have bagged prizes and applauses in Youth Parliament  Competition, Extempore, Quiz, Drawing  Competition  and one-act plays. We are proud of them.

        On 1914 our school got enrolled as a Govt. Sponsored  lnstitution. In 2014 we also bagged the prestigious award of "Nirmal Vidyalaya" of Sankrail Block.

        A sapling that was planted on 1955 has now grown as a tall, strong banyan tree that provides cool shades to countless students. Our dream is to build good human being with high moral values irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
