History

Bankra Islamia School was estabablished in the year 1947,the historical yaer of freedom of India.The whole land was donated by the,Then Jamidar of this area Hazi Yakub Molla for the education of local as well as adjacent areas. After 10 years of establishment in the year 1957 Mr Pranab Mukhapadhya,Hon’ble Ex President of India, had joined as Assistant Teacher in this school and continued his teaching for three years i.e from  1957 to 1969.He taught mainly Bengali,English and History.Masidur Rahaman Bidya  who crossed English channel was also a student of this institution. The school feels very Proud for them.
