SCHOOL HISTORY

Uttar Jhapordah Sri Siksha Niketan at Uttar Jhapordah, Domjur, Howrah  with teaching grades from V to X under West Bengal Board of Secondary Education was established under the leadership of Late Biswaratan Ganguly, adignified and majestic personality of the then society along with some generous local people interested in education. It started with only a handful of students attending classes form V to VIII. Gradually, the school was extended from class VIII  to XI in the year 1966. At present the school is treated as Madhyamik School (upto class X). Since the school cannot be upgraded to Higher Secondary Section due to its some constitutional problem. The school is situated amidst the village which can easily be compared to an ideal learning centre for its calm and peaceful environment despite being many ups and downs of our political and social structure. The Primary School runs here in the morning while our Secondary School runs in the day shift. Indeed our school cannot be flourished with modern equipment’s and additional classrooms due to lack of having its own land. Rather it was recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education on the land of Uttar Jhapordah Upper Primary School and continuing so on in this way producing so many great students who illuminated the society to a greater extent. During the period of 54 years of journey it would have been facing so many ups and downs yet it has been rendering its services for the development of human resources with great care and sanctity till date.
