History

The school was established in 1937 as Junior school. The school was in the name of Vidyapith Girls at 5 no Naba Kumar Kar Lane, Salkia, Howrah and was upgraded to Class X level. Later on 1994 the school constructed its own building and was named as Salkia Mrigendra Dutta Smriti Balika Vidyapith at 309, 309/2 G. T. Road, Salkia, Howrah. In the year 2010 the school again upgraded to H. S. Level with arts and commerce subject combination.
