History

It was the time when education system was not spread everywhere in India. At that time, there was no such schools nearby where the children of B. N. Railway Colony could take their education. So, in 1964 some education boyfriends decided to open a school in the B. N. Railway Colony. In the leadership of Late Tarachand Tiwary and Late Sudama Tiwary (Both Railway Employees), with co-operation of all residents (Railway Employees) in the colony, started Sri Nehru Siksha Sadan at primary level. In very short period of time, this primary school was recognized by education department of W.B. Govt. After that in 1967 they started Jr. High school with some volunteer teachers. The education of large number of children of railway employees and neighboring localities began to start their education in Tikiapara Sri Nehru Siksha Sadan. In 1970, the said school was also recognized as Jr. High school by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, W.B. Govt. Since then imparting quality education process is continuing till present. But now days due to lack  of teaching staffs , electricity,  not enough water supply it's nearly dieing position of the institution, it's required teaching staffs on urgent basis to guide the weaker section children.
