History

Howrah Rabindra Deshbandhu Vidyalaya was affiliated as 10th standard institutions way back in 1963 by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. The school was upgraded to H.S. standard  in 2001 with Arts stream. Gradually Commerce and Science streams were introduced in the H.S. section. The school has its land and property under registered trustee body. Formerly it was a Govt.-aided school but now it is a Govt.-sponsored institution. The school administration is run by the valid Managing Committee.
