Bajeshibpur B. K. Paul’s Institution established officially in 1910 but in reality her ancestry speaks otherwise.

Days back in 1876, in the blooming Renaissance of education a little seed started sprouting with few local kids in Dr. Baikuntha Dutta's lawn, in Shibpur, a village in Ganges bank opposite to Kolkata, called “Baikuntha Dutta’s Pathsala”. Just after 2 yrs few waves of Pandit Vidyasagar in this village of music and lyric tuned for two English schools in 1878. One the “Higher Class English School, presently Shibpur Dinabandhu Vidyalaya (main) and the other is ours, though shifted to Kali Kumar Mukherjee lane from Baikuntha Dutta’s Lawn as “Middle English School” popularly called as Baikuntha Dutta’s School. With the untiring and continuous courage & effort of Dr. Dutta, the Middle English School gets flourished with fame but renamed again as “Bajeshibpur Boy’s School”. The present “Saint Monica's School” was the site of the then “Bajeshibpur Boy’s School” beside a huge pond & marshy land. Day after day garbage being dumped over there to fill, unbearable obnoxious odour from the swamp compelled to shift the school again in 1909 to Chandra Kumar Banerjee's courtyard. In the meanwhile eminent drug & spice merchant, a man of letters, Mr. Butto Krishna Paul of Shova Bazar B. K. Paul's Avenue learnt about the hardship of “Bajeshibpur Boys School”. Mr Paul, came forward to revive the school in his birth place where he spent his childhood. Under his patronage the school took her new birth as “Bajeshibpur B. K. Paul’s Institution” at 16, Bajeshibpur Road in 1910, under the leadership of Sri Aswini Kumar Mitra, Headmaster & Nirapada Chowdhury as Secretary. Sri Parayan Chandra Chottopadhayay took over the charge of superintendent in the year 1913. Their continuous effort waved out all the undue hazards and finally in the year 1919 the school was recognised as high school on the approval of Mr. Dun, DPI and Manmatha Roy, a Syndicate member of University of Calcutta in their inspection report. The first batch of entrance examination dismantled with glory in the year 1920. Since then she gave birth hundreds of the eminent son, each year batch after batch, flourished all over the globe.
