History

Santragachhi Kedarnath Institution For Girls had received it's recognition on paper at 1963. Earlier, in the year 1920, on 17th July Hon'ble Sir Ashutosh Mukhopadhyay, fenomenon educationist of our country has laid the foundation stone . Our journey has been started with his holy touch. When we started our journey at 1925 there was only one body and it was named by Santragachhi Kedarnath Institution. Days went by and gradually it has been turned into three embranchment. And as a result of the great as well as noble contribution of local learned families like Sett family, Bhattacharya family, Kar family and so many education lovers , our school has started it's journey with nearly 60 girl students from 1963. Now, we can proudly say that we are a well known name among  educational institutions of Howrah. It's location also helps to be well connected in every way with all. Our School is our pride so are our Teachers, Students, Guardians, Non-teaching staffs ,Managing committee members, Alumnies and all well wishers as well. Come along and be a part of this pride.
