History

Ichapur Girls' High School was established in the Year 1962 for upliftment of local girls. This Institute was  founded by late Shibakrishna Dutta, late Nandalal Rakshit and other eminent personalities of Ichapur, Howrah. The first Headmistress of this institution was late Minati Chakraborty. The teaching & the non-teaching staff were active enough to reach the goal inspite of various obstacles. At first it was affiliated as Junior High School. In the year 1987, the school got affiliation for Secondary Level. The first batch of students appeared for the Madhyamik examination in the year 1989.
