History
1921 -
It is out of the dedication and cordial effort of some socialists and educationists, Bally Bangasishu Vidyalaya was established. Some names like Late Shree Mohit Kumar Bandopadhyay, Late Shree Dhirendranath Pal, Late Shree Banbihari Bandopadhyay, Late Shree Tarakumar Mukhopadhyay, etc. deserve special mention in the establishment.
1927 –
Bally Bangasishu Balika Vidyalaya was established on 2nd January (nomination was done by Rabindranath Tagore himself)
1944 –
Acclaimation as Junior High School (up to class 8)
1950 -
Acclaimation as High School
1957 -
Acclaimation as Higher Secondary School with multifaceted stream lines (Arts, Science, Commerce, Home-science, Humanities)
1975 –
Evening College established though its longevity was short-termed
1977 -
Completed its Golden Jubilee. Chandra Patra of class 9 topped the Howrah district Kho Kho championship. Former students Niti Bhattacharya and Chaitali Datta got National Sports talent Research Scholarship from Patiala.
1988 –
Dipita Roy came first in the Howrah district in Madhyamik
1990 -
Dipita Roy came first in the Howrah district in Higher Secondary
1997 -
Our school came first in the School Level District Volleyball championship.
1998 -
Computer training program has been launched by the school administration in association with a private organization (for students from class 5 till class 10). Our school came topped in the government organized Cultural competition.
2000 -
The students came out in flying colours in the school finals ( 57 students got 1st division and 4 students got star out of the 106 appeared in Higher Secondary whereas 68 students got 1st division and 13 students got star out of the 178 appeared in Madhyamik). Esha Chakraborty achieved significant success in the State and National level championship in swimming. Rupa Sarkhel earned laurels for the school in National level Kabadi championship.
2001 -
The students came out in flying colours once again in the school finals ( 38 students got 1st division and 6 students got star out of the 116 appeared in Higher Secondary whereas 54 students got 1st division and 9 students got star out of the 121 appeared in Madhyamik).
Bally Bangasishu Balika Vidyalaya completed 75 years of its establishment.
2nd January 2002 - Bally Bangasishu Balika Vidyalaya celebrated years of its establishment.
