History

This school is the oldest in this locality.When there was no school of any kind in the South Bally, a few benevolent persons came forward to establish a school in this locality.With their initiative , help and donation a school was established in the year 1864 as a M.V. school up to class- IV and  In the year 1902 it was upgraded as a M.E. school upto class-VI and at that time it was permanently recognised by their proper authorities.

Subsequently the primary section of the school was separated by Govt. Order. So the managing committee felt an urgent need to upgrade the school.The M.C. resolved to open class VIII from 1975 and class -VIII started from 1976 in the first phase.

The President,West Bengal Board Of Secondary Education and all concerned authorities were informed of this decision with a fervent appeal to recognise these newly opened classes and there after persuing this.After that School was recognised as Madhyamik School in the year of 2000.

The School has two storied Pacca building of its own on 10 kathas of land just on the side of G.T. Road.There are 8 classrooms, Headmaster room,office room,staff room, library room, laboratory room and computer room.There is arrangement of tap water supplied by the Municipality.There is also a deep tubewell.
