History

Belur N.B. Roy High School, a co-educational Institute in Belur shares a long and illustrious history for last five decades. Belur N.B.Roy high school formally known as Belur Junior High School started its journey on first January, 1969. Some educationist of Belur had a dream of establishing a school for the down trodden of the society. The school got its affiliation from WBBSE on first January, 1974. The-then  chairman of Bally Municipality  Sri Satya Prakash Ghosh extended his helping hand to materialize the dreams of the founder Teachers. Finally the school shifted to a new place – the residential house of Sri Nirodh Baran Roy. He donated his own house for this noble mission. Primarily it was a Junior High School and with the support of many Educationist of the area it was upgraded to secondary from May, 1996.
