History

HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL:  It was tumultuous period in 30's in the British era in India. At that time. there was no school in the western bank of sacred Ganga in Liluah area. Students had to cross the ever busy railway lines for their schooling as far as Belur or farther away. Local people at Liluah strongly felt necessity of a school for local students. The merchants- cum -philanthropists duo Tansukh Rai Khemka and Ganpat Rai Khemka came forward with active assistance and zeal of local people interested in education . They donated this precious piece of land for the noble cause Thus began the march of this institution formally on the auspicious day of August 7 of 1934. But, there exists another lore in the locality which according to hearsay evidence and veterans'  version the school began its striding as early as first decade of last century.

This glorious institution has produced many eminent personalities in diverse fields from science, technology, teaching, medicine, sports, judicial service, performing arts, films, business, journalism to name a few and they glorified their Alma Mater. The institution strongly pledges to nurture young minds to be responsible future citizens in years ahead.
