
The glorious year 1950 was a benchmark in this locale of Bhattanagar, hardly three years after India achieved Independence. Citizens were filled with numerous dreams to be cherished eyes filled with hopes-- a frantic desire to develop a new India.
To usher in this new India, the first and foremost priority was the arena of Education. At this juncture came to this realm two stalwarts-- namely Swami Asitananda Maharaj and his disciple late Sri Ramesh Chandra Majumder along with a plethora of personalities interested in education and upliftment of the locality. Finally emerged the offspring of this conjugated effort-- Bhattanagar Kulakamini Vidyamandir on the auspicious occasion of Akshya Tritiya.
