History

Jagatpur Adarsha Balika Vidyalaya was established in the year 1965 by Late Shri Kalipada Das with a vision to provide quality education within the reach of local girls. His optimistic view for education of rural girls, especially those who are marginalized, to empower themselves to fight against the dogmas of the society, is ingrained in our institution. Since then we have come a long way successfully nurturing the young minds and inspiring them to establish themselves as a responsible and functional component of the society. Initially the school was started as a Private Institution for more than 7 years and in the year 1972 the school was taken over as a Government Aided School and now RMSA Sponsored School.

Over the years, even after facing various hurdles, we have been diligently serving our duty to develop our students. We have been hugely successful in establishing ourselves as a stable medium through which various Government schemes like “KANYASHREE”, “AIKYASHREE”, Distribution of New Text Books, Mid-day Meal, Nirmal Vidyalaya Saptah etc. meets its effective goals with the help of our expert teachers. We believe that “EDUCATION” is for all and our main duty is to ignite the flare of knowledge among our students.

We feel proud that even with the limited resources we have educated several “Specially-Abled” Students along with our Mainstream Students. We encourage our students to achieve an overall development by arranging several sporting, cultural and co-curricular activities throughout the academic calendar.

We feel also proud that Jagatpur Adarsha Balika Vidyalaya has been up-graded to the category of Higher Secondary School in the year 2018 and we have started Higher Secondary Study with “Humanities” Group from the Academic Session 2019.
