Our school SAMAJ KALYAN SANGHA BALIKA VIDYALAYA was established on 2nd January,1970 by late Shri Jatan Chandra Maity.Samaj Kalyan Sangha Balika Vidyalaya can trace its history back to early days of 70"s when land was donated by late Shri Dhirendra Nath Mondal for the establishment of this school on the lap of nature in the heart of kotalghata village of kushberia,Uluberia Howrah.It was their wholehearted, selfless service intense willpower and strong attitude towards women empowerment that helped to lay  the foundation of a girl's school in those days.The money for the budding school was raised by the villagers and other local people and the school merely started as a temporary structure with two to three rooms.However with the passage of time depending on the government grants,charitable contributions and the generosity of the local residents the school has witnessed a gradual transition from an old shanty village school to a well structured three storeyed permanent buiding.Samaj Kalyan Sangha Balika Vidyalaya is presntly a sponsored and affiliated school under school Education Department ,GOVT. of WEST BENGAL.
