History

Pran Kishore Goswami established the institution on the 12th December, 1903 with the help of local persons interested in education as pre–primary school. Initially there was no own building of the school.First of all it was situated at Rajballavpara ,then at Nivedita Lane and ultimately at present address at 29A, Bose Para Lane, Kolkata – 700003.The present three storey building of the school stands upon 11 katha plot.Now it has own building at present address. The school has been recognized as Secondary School on 1914 by Calcutta University. The school received 1st Govt. grant –in –aid in 1949. It has been upgraded as Higher Secondary School in 1957. In 1999, it has been transformed as (10+2) H.S. school. Ultimately it has been turned as Govt. Sponsored Institution in 2013.
