East Calcutta National School was established on 3rd January in 1950 .The visionary zeal of  Biswanath Bajpee( Eminent lawyer), Tridib Choudhury(Great political leader of RSP), DR Megnad Saha( Great Scientist) and Others for spreading education among the poor students of the nearby locality was the prime motive for setting up the school
