History

The foundation stone of Sree Vdiya Niketan was laid down in the year of 1946 to enlighten the surrounding students specially hailing from the weaker section of the society. Late shri Ramkrishna Gupta the founder secretary of Sree Vidya Niketan and few others from the locality failt the need for and educational institution to impart education to the poor children.The school got a shape on the ground floor of and old building situted at 9A Jatindra Mohan Avenue kol -6. In 2003 the school has been shifted to the newly erected two storied building adjacent to the old building. The school has never stopped enlightening the children from every cornerof the society and the process is still going on.
