History

Adi Mahakali Pathsala one of the heritage school of North Kolkata situated in 35/C, Kailash Bose Street, Kolkata. Originally the school was set up in Chor Bagan. Later ci was frans ferred to Kailash ‘Bose Street. Aja Darbhanga Of Bihar donated the to Mataji which was later extended by Mataji and developed further.  A small temple was present in the building which still exists. Students also learri Shiva Puja in the temple. More over students were laught various other tihings like lookery, heedle work, physical education etc.

A tree was planted in the school under which Matajr meditated. She was inspired by Swami Vivekananda and Sister Nivedita in spreading woman education. Graduelly the school was highlighted Mataji considered her students to be pure and simple and wanted to serve them through which she considered to acquire freedom.

Students have passed out from our school has become famous and prospered in their lives. They have become successful teachers journalists, policeman, actors etc.
