History

ULTADANGA GOVT SPONS HS SCHOOL FOR GIRLS is an integrated Govt Spons institution from preprimary to class XII situated at 59/60 Bagmari Road Kolkata 700054 near Hudco Housing &VIP Road crossing,Ultadanga.

MR KARUNAKETAN SEN, a famous educationist & last ICS of British period & member of Central Revenue Board was the founder of the school. CIT donated the land in BRS III Housing Estate & by the financial support of Central Revenue Board MR K K Sen established our school with other 7 same category school.

Primarily seven Govt spons Schools ran together in a building & under a temporary committee headed by MR SHAIBAL GUPTA,Chairman of CIT.After a couple of years the schools were separated from each other in their own building  with separate administration  & staff.

Ultadanga Govt Spons was established as a Junior High School w .e.f 2/01/1964 & gradually upgraded to HS ibstitution step by step.

MRS Sadhana Banerjeee, an eminent educationist was the first pemanent HM of the school who worked till 1994.

There are two shifts for class room study. One for PP to V in morn shift &another for VI to XII in day shift.PP to IV is co-educational & V to XII is completely for girls students. There are two streams Arts & Sc in HS section.The whole school  is under one administration.

Our school was established for uplifting the local under previleged children bt now it belongs to all types of  children of our society.
