History

After independence, distressed people from East Bengal took refuge in and around Beleghata. At that time, the learned and scholarly members of Beleghata Santi Sangha became compassionate and established Beleghata Santi Sangha Vidyayatan( Co-ed junior high school) for the poor refugees at the middle of the ‘basti’ area of Barowaritala, Rashmoni Bazar locality and it got its recognition since 1964. Due to the increase in the number of females in the school, WBBSE approved the institution as a Girls’ High School 01.01.1978 onwards. Even as of today, the poorest of the poor girls come to this school to study and most of them are first generation learners. Our teachers and staff work together as a team to improve their academic co-currricular activities, character building through mutual cooperation and trust between them. We all are a closely knit family.
