History

Our school Kamala Vidyamandir started at Piyari Mansur garden lane in February 1927. At that time there were girls and boys both in our school. After a few years, our school was shifted to K. G. Bose Sarani, just opposite to our present school building. Since then separate boys and girls sections were introduced.

After a couple of years, our school was shifted to our present building because the previous school building was rented. Our girl's section was started on 11/13th July 1959. We finally were shifted in1992 at our present school building.

Our beloved poet Sri Sukanta Bhattacharya was studied (primary section only) in our school when girls and boys both sections were attached. We, the teachers of our school are always proud of this matter.
